Summary: Announcement of the winners of the largest e-commerce competition in the Adriatic region – WEB RETAILER AWARD 2021!

Among 412 web retailers from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia, awards were given to the best regional web retailers in various sales categories.

On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at an event at the headquarters of Ceneje.si in Ljubljana (and at the same time online), this year’s winners were announced among the registered webshops within various competition categories, along with the most successful shops in the entire Adriatic region.

This year, 412 large and small webshops from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia participated in the Web Retailer Award 2021, organized for the tenth year in a row by ceneje.si, the seventh year in a row by jeftinije.hr and for the second time by idealno.rs (all part of the Heureka Group, the largest platform and advisor for comparative online shopping) since 2019.

In addition to feedback from their customers and technical analysis of the webshop, web retailers received comments, ratings and guidance from as many as 84 e-commerce experts who were part of the international evaluation committee this year. The president of the commission, Polona Stanovnik, head of marketing at Ceneje.si, accompanied the award ceremony with the words:

“We are glad that the number of webshops registered for the Web Retailer Award is growing from year to year, which is a clear signal that web retailers are interested in how well they are listed compared to others. The fact that they strive for progress and continuous improvement to offer their customers the best possible shopping experience is also extremely important. After a year of extraordinary circumstances for online shopping, consumers in the Adriatic region are increasingly demanding and skilled in online shopping, and such competitions can help webshops achieve excellence and even greater success.”

The events, which, given the situation, took place in a hybrid format and with a limited number of participants, were attended by the finalists of the entire Adriatic region and the CEO of the Heureka Group, Tomáš Braverman. Among the prominent speakers was David Pivk, Marketing Director at Nike Direct for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
